Why does my company need to approve it?
Most work accounts need a one-time Microsoft admin approval. That is normal security, not a broken install. After your admin approves it, colleagues sign in normally.
Where does my data go?
There are no WatchTeams servers. Microsoft Graph data stays between Microsoft and your device, and admins can revoke access anytime from Entra enterprise applications.
